Gunmen Kidnap Ex-Katsina TV Manager, Daughter
Gunmen suspected to be bandits have abducted a former General Manager of the Katsina State Television (KTTV), Ahmed Abdulkadir, and his teenage daughter.
The incident occurred in the wee hours of Tuesday morning when the gunmen stormed Shema Quarters, in the Bakori council area.
The gunmen reportedly wielded sophisticated weapons and shot sporadically to scare residents before whisking Abdulkadir and his daughter away.
Abdulkadir, who practiced journalism for several years, is a retired director at National Broadcast Commission (NBC).
It is unclear as at the time of filing this report if the abductors have called the family members.
The incident comes less than a week after gunmen abducted the wife and children of a state House of Assembly member representing the area, Dr. Ibrahim Kurami.
